Negative Self-Talk

So all my life I have had to battle Negative Self-talk and I believe that it is a struggle that many of us have.  Continually tell yourself you are not good enough, or beating your self up if you make a mistake.

This is a world I lived in for many many years, and recently I have started taking advantage of self help books and have been gaining more confidence and learning more tricks to battle these things.

Today I would love to share five of those tricks that I have learned will help in so many ways.

1. Possible Thinking, Instead of immediately getting down on your self, try and think about what it could mean, and what the possibilities of the situation are.

2. Put a better spin on things, whenever I try to think of what good things could come from this situation, and what lessons can be learned

3. Ask yourself what would a friend say,  This is perfect, you are way harder on yourself than anyone else, and your best friend will always see the best in you, so say to yourself what would my best friend say.

4. Pick up the phone, call your best friend, or a trusted person and tell them what is going on.  Talking about it will always make you feel better, and then they can tell you what they would say.

5.  Embrace your imperfections.  NOBODY IS PERFECT,  We are all going to make mistakes, we are all going to do stupid and ridiculous things, but everyone days.  Once you accept it and embrace it, then your like will be so much easier.

BackBends

I am literally the most un-flexible person in the world.  I don't ever remember a time when I could touch my toes.  Doing anything gymnastically at all has always been out of my reach.  I have recently discovered that nothing is out of my reach.

As I have been doing hard workouts, I am getting more flexible every day.  Here I am at 36 and I can finally touch my toes without bending my knees.

Somehow though my daughter is super flexible and extremely talented when it comes to doing tumbling and gymnastics.

So this last year after watching my kids do tumbling and learn how to do Backbends and such I have decided that I am going to do it.  I am going to learn how to do a backbend.

So I have started practicing and learning how to do one.

If I can do it anyone can do it.

T25 speed 1.0

Not going to lie, the first 15 minutes about killed me, but the last 10 minutes I pushed hard.  I don't know why we have to do so many burpees. There has to be a better way.

T25 Again

STARTING THE JOURNEY AGAIN

In February I started T25 for the first time, this program is a program created by Shaun T, the creator of Insanity.  Every workout is only 25 minutes longs, and when you are done you will sweat like you have never sweated before.  It is awesome to be able to do it from home.

When we moved here to the middle of nowhere I had no gym to go to and running in the morning was not really an option. I was feeling very tired all of the time and was slowly going into a depression, so I decided to give it a try.

I immediately fell in LOVE, I lost 12lbs on my first round and felt great.  However, after stopping for a while I have felt like I have gotten soft.  So I am going again.  Doing it for the first time again, killed me, I thought I had been staying in shape, but turns out, I NEED THIS PROGRAM ALWAYS.  So I will be sharing my journey with you here, as well as many other FITNESS INFORMATION.
